AMERICAN STORES TO DISTRIBUTE
HYDROX-CÔ SKIN CARE PRODUCTS
Additional 900
doors strengthens
Medi-Cell's distribution in 25 states
FORT WORTH,
TEXAS – American
Drug Stores, one of the nation’s leading food and drug retailers, will begin
distribution of Hydrox-C,Ô a revolutionary new line of
therapeutic skin care from Texas-based Medi-Cell Laboratories.
Hydrox-C
will be carried in about 900 free-standing and combination American Stores
located in 25 states as Osco Drug, Sav-on Drugs, Jewel Osco and Lucky Sav-on,
among others, strengthening Hydrox-C’s availability in the western half of the
U.S.
The new distribution by
American Stores is in addition to more than 2800 Eckerd stores, as well as
Albertson’s in Texas and Florida, H.E.B. Stores, Drug Emporium, Tom Thumb and
numerous other drug and food chains located across the country.
“We
are very pleased to add American Stores as a distributor of Hydrox-C,” said
David Pollock, Medi-Cell’s vice president of product development and creator of
the Hydrox-C line. “The additional 900 doors this outstanding chain represents
provides us with coast-to-coast distribution.”
A result of intensive
research and unprecedented technology, Hydrox-C is the first and only
therapeutic skin care line to combine three
types of Vitamin C with alpha hydroxy acid in
patent-pending, non-irritating formulations that can
be used by every skin type. Distributed
to the mass market, Hydrox-C has been well received by consumers as an
affordable alternative to high priced topical Vitamin C products only available
only through dermatologists and licensed skin care professionals.
“We have stabilized three
types of Vitamin C – sodium ascorbate, ascorbic acid and ascorbyl glucoseamine
– and combined them with alpha hydroxy
acid to create our Triple Action Vitamin C Complex,” Pollock said. This complex provides all the benefits of
Vitamin C and AHA in one product. The
alpha hydroxy acid gently exfoliates dead cells, while the Triple Action Vitamin C Complex boosts collagen and promotes the
growth of healthy new cells.”
Initially,
American Stores will carry four products in Hydrox-C’s eight-product line:
