FORT WORTH, TEXAS – More than 2800 stores in the Eckerd
Drugs chain have been added to the retail distribution of Hydrox-CÔ,
a new line of advanced skin care products recently introduced by Fort Worth,
Texas-based Medi-Cell Laboratories.
“With
Eckerd’s, the availability of Hydrox-CÔ to
the consumer market has increased to include virtually the entire eastern
portion of the United States from Maine through Florida, in addition to
southern states and westward through Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico,” said
Medi-Cell vice president David Pollock.
While skin care products the
caliber of Hydrox-CÔ are priced up to $85 and sold only through dermatologists and
licensed skin care professionals, each
Hydrox-CÔ product sells for only $9.95 and is readily available to the
mass market. And the patent-pending
formulations used in Hydrox-CÔ are non-irritating to the skin and can
be used daily by all skin types, including sensitive skin, which is a
technological breakthrough in Vitamin C and Alpha Hydroxy Acid products.
“Our mission is to formulate
therapeutic, dermatological level products for the average consumer,” Pollock said. “With Hydrox-CÔ, we have made effective, advanced skin
care affordable and, through Eckerd and other chains, readily accessible to
everyone.”
Eckerd’s distribution is in
addition to other drug, food and mass merchandise retailers, including Drug Emporium, Randall’s, Tom Thumb,
H-E-B Stores, Wegman’s, Hy-Vee, Tops and K&B Drug, a division of Rite-Aid.
According
to Pollock, sell-through figures made the five-product line marketed under the
Hydrox-CÔ brand attractive to
Eckerd. Before approaching the chain,
Medi-Cell had conducted test markets, with sell-through figures beating all
expectations. Initial test market
results were:
· Intensive Cell
Therapy 15.06 units per store per month
