FORT WORTH,
TEXAS - After winter's harsh winds, cold temperatures and dry heat, it's
time to revitalize your skin.
"Just as new blooms unfurl each year, your skin can have the fresh
glow of spring," says David Pollock, a founder of Medi-Cell
Laboratories. "Topical applications of vitamin C delivered to
the skin's stratum basal layer skin can produce more youthful skin
cells."
Vitamin C is
essential for healthy connective tissue in the skin and acts as an
anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory to repair environmentally caused
damage. Pollock says vitamin C is especially effective when
combined with an exfoliant that removes dead cells, which cause fine
lines and wrinkles at the skin's surface.
"Use vitamin
C products that deliver a high level of results but which do not
irritate the skin to get the radiance of spring," Pollock
says. He recommends a three-step program using Hydrox-C
therapeutic skin care products, which combine three types of
non-irritating vitamin C with a non-irritating, complex alpha hydroxy
acid. He says it's as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Exfoliate.
Pollock recommends a gentle exfoliating cleanser such as Hydrox-C Daily
Skin Preparation in the morning and at night to remove make-up, dead
cells and other impurities.
2.
Replenish. Re-hydrate dry skin with a non-greasy moisturizer.
Pollock likes 12 Hour Moisturizer (Age Lift Moisturizer for mature skin)
from Hydrox-C "because it is almost instantly absorbed without
residue, making it ideal before applying make-up." Both
contain sunscreen.
3.
Rejuvenate: Augment your cleansing and moisturizing regime
with an intensive vitamin and botanical rich treatment like Hydrox-C's
Intensive Cell Therapy, which has 21 plant extracts, proteins and
vitamins, to instantly generate new cell growth and visibly correct
damaged skin.
"Winter
takes a toll on skin, so nourish it with treatments that care for your
skin and restore it to a healthy glow," Pollock says.
Editor's Note- David Pollock has been
instrumental in the development of therapeutic skin care products for
some of the most well know companies in the industry. He also
serves on the board of Clinical Results, Inc., an independent product
development laboratory.
